Arkansas Tech University’s graduate program in strength and conditioning has earned the distinction of membership in the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) Education Recognition Program (ERP).
Founded in 1978, the NSCA is a non-profit association dedicated to advancing the strength and conditioning and related sport science professions around the world.
“A successful career in strength and conditioning or personal training begins with a quality classroom education that is backed
by the NSCA seal of approval,” reads a statement from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. “This includes the right certifications, professional development and networking that can only be found through the NSCA.”
As a result of ATU’s inclusion in the NSCA ERP, Arkansas Tech students and faculty will have access to discounts on NSCA examinations, NSCA conference discounts and enhanced access to scholarships, grants and internships. ATU will also gain public recognition from NSCA online and at conferences.
According to the program’s web presence, the ATU Master of Science degree in kinesiology, strength and conditioning “focuses on the theory and science of strength and conditioning and is delivered primarily face-to-face to allow individuals to develop coaching skills as they work through the program.”
