Arkansas Tech University will recognize approximately 1,050 graduates during spring 2024 commencement ceremonies May 10-11 at John E. Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.
The weekend will begin with a 7 p.m. ceremony on Friday, May 10. It will honor graduates from the ATU College of Business and Economic Development as well as ATU-Ozark Campus.
Friday’s ceremony will include the induction of ATU alumni Don Daily Jr., Lou Nell McCraw Davis and Jayne Jones into the ATU Hall of Distinction.
ATU-Ozark Campus will recognize the 2024 winners of the Bob Adams Outstanding Student Award, the ATU-Ozark Spirit Award, the ATU-Ozark Faculty Awards of Excellence in teaching and service, the ATU-Ozark Staff Excellence Award and the ATU-Ozark Service Award during the ceremony on Friday.
There will be three ceremonies on Saturday, May 11.
The ATU College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics will conduct its commencement at 9:30 a.m.
The ATU College of Arts and Humanities will see its students walk at 2 p.m.
The ATU College of Education and Health will close out ATU graduation weekend at 6:30 p.m. That ceremony will include a recognition of Capri Salaam as the 2024 winner of the Jim Ed McGee Award, which is presented to the most outstanding graduate student at ATU.
Arkansas Tech will recognize its most outstanding seniors — Alfred J. Crabaugh Award winner Braden Jones of Warren, Margaret Young Award winner Madison Starks of Bigelow and Jill Lestage Brown Service Leadership Award winner Breckyn Ballard of Pottsville — during the 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday.
Winners of the 2024 ATU Faculty Awards of Excellence for the Russellville campus will also be among those recognized during spring commencement ceremonies.
