Arkansas Tech University’s chapter of Alpha Sigma Tau earned three awards during the sorority’s 45th national convention in Virginia during summer 2024.
ATU Alpha Sigma Tau members were recognized for marketing and communications in chapter branding, innovation excellence and retention improvement.
Alpha Sigma Tau re-colonized its Beta Rho chapter at Arkansas Tech in fall 2013 after the sorority had been absent from Arkansas Tech for almost 30 years.
Alpha Sigma Tau was founded on Nov. 4, 1899, at Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, Mich. According to a statement from the sorority, the purpose of Alpha Sigma Tau “is to promote the ethical, cultural and social development of its members.”
