Twelve members of the Arkansas Tech University community are participating in an orientation program for incoming faculty members in advance of the fall 2024 semester.

Offered by the ATU Center for Faculty LIFE (Learning, Innovation, Faculty and Engagement), the program seeks to inform and inspire faculty who are new to Arkansas Tech.

Participants in the fall 2024 new faculty orientation program are:

  • Dr. Aniruddha Acharya, assistant professor of biology
  • Jessica Brock, instructor of business administration
  • Dr. Cory Fica, instructor of music
  • Katelynn Hopson, assistant professor of accounting
  • Evan Mino, instructor of music
  • Zach Moran, assistant professor of fisheries science
  • Dr. David Pumphrey, assistant professor of business data analytics
  • Dr. Katie Rohwer, director of choral activities and assistant professor of music
  • Dr. Crystal Ahrens Rouillier, assistant professor of agriculture
  • Dr. Ebrahim Seidi, assistant professor of mechanical engineering
  • Dr. Mathew Sharples, assistant professor of biology
  • Dr. Bindu Subhadra, assistant professor of biology

Topics covered during ATU new faculty orientation include technology, student-centered learning, syllabus development, the university’s code of academic integrity, research resources and the role of faculty senate.

Dr. Theresa Cullen, professor of curriculum and instruction, serves as director for the ATU Center for Faculty LIFE. Dr. Alexis Johnson, associate professor of communication, is assistant director. They organize and administer the new faculty orientation program.

The fall 2024 semester at Arkansas Tech will begin with the first day of classes on Wednesday, Aug. 21.
