ATU School of PACE Hosting Launch Party August 27

The Arkansas Tech University School of Professional and Community Education (PACE) will celebrate its new name with a launch party on Tuesday, Aug. 27.

The event is planned for noon-2 p.m. in the Dean Hall Courtyard. All members of the ATU community are invited to attend.

The ATU School of PACE includes academic programs in emergency management and homeland security, higher education and student affairs and organizational studies.

The unit was previously known as the ATU Department of Emergency Management, Professional Studies and Student Affairs Administration.

The new name for the school was approved by the ATU Board of Trustees on Feb. 15, 2024. It officially went into effect on June 1, 2024.

Dr. Rene Couture serves as head of the ATU School of PACE, which is part of the ATU College of Education and Health.
