Susan West, associate professor of tourism at Arkansas Tech University, has been selected to serve on the Southeast Tourism Society Board of Directors for two years.
West’s term will expire in 2026. In the meantime, she will help the organization pursue its mission of promoting travel and tourism within the District of Columbia and 13 states: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
West has served on the ATU faculty since 2008. She holds a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin University and a master’s degree from the University of Arkansas. In 2023, West graduated from the three-year Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College program and earned certification as a Travel Marketing Professional.
