Tech’s Got Talent Auditions September 18 and 26

Arkansas Tech University Student Activities Board will host auditions for Tech’s Got Talent 2024 this month.

Auditions will take place from 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, and 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, in Doc Bryan Student Services Center Lecture Hall. Each auditioning act must consist of only ATU students.

Acts will be judged on technical ability, entertainment value, originality/creativity, display of a unified, thought-out appearance and image and crowd appeal.

The acts that are selected to advance will perform in the Tech’s Got Talent 2024 preliminary round beginning at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Witherspoon Auditorium.

The Tech’s Got Talent 2024 finals are scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at Witherspoon Auditorium.

Sadie Foster of Tahlequah, Okla., earned the top prize of $600 in the Tech’s Got Talent 2023 competition.

Cole Huddleston of Waldron (second, $350) and the band Seismic Waves (third, $150) rounded out the top three in 2023. Seismic Waves was comprised of ATU students Kayleb Starnes of Vandervoort, Aspen White of Searcy, Sarah Avey of Timbo and Tyler Boerner of Sardis, Tenn.
