Construction of Ferguson Student Union at Arkansas Tech University reached a milestone in mid-September when the concrete foundation for the building was poured.

Ferguson Student Union, a 68,000-square foot facility that will transform student life at ATU, will soon begin to rise from the plot of land between Chambers Cafeteria and the Hull Physical Education Building.

Among the amenities Ferguson Student Union will provide are student meeting spaces, lounge spaces for students to enjoy during their free time, fast casual dining, an e-sports gaming lab, basketball courts, a location to check out outdoor recreation gear and workout areas for cardiovascular and strength fitness training.

Ferguson Student Union is named for ATU benefactors Cindi and Jimmy Ferguson and their family.

It is estimated that construction of Ferguson Student Union will be complete in early 2026.
