The Arkansas Tech University First Generation Organization is celebrating First Gen Week 2024 with a series of events that are open to all ATU students on the Russellville campus.
“We are hoping to bring more awareness to what we have to offer,” said Arkansas Tech student Kiya Lawson, secretary of recruitment and representation for the ATU First Generation Organization. “We have study power hour every week, and we have other events once-to-twice per month. There are a lot of people on campus who don’t know about us, the events we do and the fact that they are open to all students. You don’t have to be a first-generation student to come to our events.”
