Three Arkansas Tech University students earned recognition for their music production skills during a fall 2024 competition presented by Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center.

Noah Foster (first place), Matthew Swank (second place) and Adam Byler (third place) were selected as the three award-winning finalists.

Foster is a sophomore music major from Russellville. Swank is a junior game and interactive media design major from White Hall. Byler is a sophomore biology major from Valley Springs.

The competition called for ATU students to submit original music composed and produced by the contestant. All genres and styles of music were welcome.

Dr. Lowell Lybarger, ATU multimedia librarian, served as coordinator for the competition.

Dr. Kae Reed (ATU instructor of music and Japanese language), Philippe Van Houtte (ATU systems librarian and instructor of French language) and Jason Lowe (Redmassive.com) served as competition judges.

All three tracks by the competition finalists are available for listening as part of the YouTube video posted below.
