Arkansas Tech University alumni and friends will gather at Oaklawn Racing and Gaming in Hot Springs for the second annual “Day at the Races.”
The first race for the day is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m., and Tech fans in attendance will have a reserved seating area throughout all the races.
The fifth race for the day will commemorate the event and honor Arkansas Tech alumni and friends attending, as it has been named the Arkansas Tech Alumni Classic.
Angela Bonds, director of alumni relations, says she hopes lots of Tech graduates make the trip to the Spa City to connect with other graduates.
This is the second time the Arkansas Tech Alumni Association has hosted an event at Oaklawn, and last year about 50 alumni gathered to watch the races.
