The Arkansas Tech University Department of Public Safety is conducting a test of the ATU Alert system on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
“This is only a test of the ATU Alert system,” said Heath Whorton, emergency manager in the Arkansas Tech Department of Public Safety. “The ATU Alert system allows Arkansas Tech University to notify participating students and employees when emergency situations arise on campus.”
Each individual enrolled in the ATU Alert system will receive an e-mail, text and a phone call with the following message: “This is a TEST of the ATU Alert system. There is no action required to be taken. This is only a TEST.”
Any ATU student, faculty member or staff member who does not receive a test message on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and would like to receive future alert messages may sign up through OneTech. Please follow the “ATU Alert Sign Up” link under the Personal Information card on the OneTech home page. Individuals may then provide their contact information.
For assistance, contact the ATU Department of Public Safety at (479) 968-0222 or via e-mail at dps@atu.edu.
