
Eighteen performance groups representing 12 school districts registered for the 2025 Arkansas Tech University Southern Regional Concert Band Festival, an affiliate of Music for All National Festival presented by Yamaha.
Musicians from the school districts in Cabot, Camden Fairview, Clarksville, Cotter, Dardanelle, Dover, Fayetteville, Greenwood, Jacksonville, Lafayette County, Mountain Home and Russellville were among those who engaged in the process.
The ATU Symphonic Wind Ensemble offered a performance during the festival, which took place April 2-4 at Witherspoon Auditorium on the Arkansas Tech campus in Russellville.
Each performance group received feedback from a panel of clinicians consisting of Hal Cooper, retired director of bands and professor emeritus at Arkansas Tech; Dr. Trevor Frost, interim associate director of bands at Arkansas Tech; Dr. Joe Missel, retired director of bands at Oklahoma State University; Dr. Cara Morantz, assistant director of bands at the University of Alabama at Birmingham; Dr. Katie Rohwer, director of choral activities at Arkansas Tech; and Dr. Daniel A. Belongia, director of bands at Arkansas Tech.
