The Arkansas Tech University Office of Veteran Services hosted its third annual Veterans Day observance on Thursday, Nov. 11.
ATU students and U.S. Army ROTC cadets Brock Decker of Heber Springs, Caleb Edwards of Lamar, Douglas Ticson of Martinez, Calif., and Austin Whitfield of Little Rock served as color guard for the ceremony.
Asia Smoke, an ATU student from Hot Springs, sang the national anthem.
Those in attendance included Major Gen. Gary W. Johnston (U.S. Army Retired), ATU Board of Trustees member Len Cotton of Dardanelle and ATU President Dr. Robin E. Bowen.
The event took place between Tucker Coliseum and the Doc Bryan Student Services Center on the ATU campus in Russellville.
ATU Veterans Upward Bound sponsored a post-ceremony reception.
