Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus is pleased to announce that its Adult and Continuing Education program has been awarded a $734 grant by the Johnson County Community Foundation.
The funds will be used to purchase GED tests for its Johnson County Adult Education Center students. This will allow all Johnson County residents the ability to take the GED test at no cost.
The grant – given as part of the Arkansas Community Foundation’s Giving Tree Grants – was presented Thursday, April 13, to Jessica Pipkins, an instructor at Arkansas Tech-Ozark’s Johnson County Adult Education Location, during the 2017 Grant Awards Ceremony.
“We are so excited for our continued partnership with the Johnson County Community Foundation,” Pipkins said. “This grant offers a much-needed opportunity to our students who are working diligently toward a high school diploma.”
