Arkansas Tech University will confer more than 1,700 academic credentials completed during the spring 2023 semester as part of commencement ceremonies May 4-6 at John E. Tucker Coliseum in Russellville.
ATU-Ozark Campus will conduct its ceremony at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 4.
The 2023 winners of the Bob Adams Outstanding Student Award, the ATU-Ozark Campus Spirit Award, the ATU-Ozark Teaching Excellence Award, the ATU-Ozark Faculty Service Excellence Award and the ATU-Ozark Staff Professional Excellence Award will be recognized during Thursday’s ceremony.
Arkansas Tech will host a commencement ceremony for its Graduate College at 7 p.m. on Friday, May 5.
Jacob Boen, recipient of the 2023 Jim Ed McGee Award for most outstanding graduate student at ATU, will be honored on Friday night.
The 10 a.m. Saturday, May 6, commencement will feature graduates from the ATU College of Education and Health and the ATU College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
Graduates from the ATU College of Arts and Humanities and the ATU College of Business and Economic Development will walk in a 2 p.m. ceremony on Saturday, May 6.
The 10 a.m. Saturday ceremony will include the induction of Charles Blanchard of Russellville, Michael Fox of Parkdale, Ore., and Chaun Harper of Dallas, Texas, into the ATU Hall of Distinction.
Arkansas Tech will recognize its most outstanding seniors — Alfred J. Crabaugh Award winner Ben Johnson of Valley Springs, Margaret Young Award winner Andrea Amador of Batesville and Jill Lestage Brown Service Leadership Award winner Lesly Mendez of Little Rock — during the ceremonies on Saturday.
Winners of the 2023 ATU Faculty Awards of Excellence — Dr. Douglas Barron, Dr. Masanori Kuroki and Dr. Sean Reed — will be recognized during spring commencement ceremonies.
