Several staff members, instructors and one industry partner received awards at the Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus Faculty/Staff Welcome-Back Luncheon on August 17.
Arkansas Tech-Ozark Chief Business/Community Outreach Officer Justin Smith presented Gary Sams with a special award for his industry partnership over the years. Sams recently retired from Green Bay Packaging. He worked with Arkansas Tech-Ozark closely to facilitate industry training for six years.
“Gary could have chosen to work with a number of other schools,” Smith said. “But he chose us. He knew there was something good here. He could see it. We thank him for his hard work and partnership.”
Arkansas Tech-Ozark Chancellor Bruce Sikes presented the Staff Senate Excellence Award to Kristie Moore, the campus librarian.
