The Arkansas Tech University College of Arts and Humanities hosted its spring 2024 awards and recognition reception at Witherspoon Hall on Wednesday, May 1.
Dr. Jeffrey Cass, dean of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities, presided over the event.
The following individuals received college-wide awards:
Dean’s Choice Award
Dr. Phoebe Robertson, assistant professor of music
Valli Wanzer, administrative specialist III
Staff Award for Distinguished Service
Christine Kirkland, administrative specialist II
Adjunct Faculty Award
Ashley Kinsey, visiting instructor of art
Mentor Award for Distinguished Student Advising
Dr. Julie Mikles-Schluterman, professor of sociology
The ATU College of Arts and Humanities also recognized its retiring faculty members: Philip Parker and Dr. Dana Ward.
Members of the ATU College of Arts and Humanities faculty who reached service milestones during the 2023-24 academic year and those who achieved promotion and/or tenure during 2023-24 were also honored.
