Arkansas Tech Career Center (ATCC) is one of 11 educational outlets in the Natural State that shared in $150,000 in education and training grant funds for 2018 announced by the Arkansas Motor Vehicle Commission.
According to a news release from the commission, the funds are intended to “provide funds for education and technical training in the field of vehicle service and maintenance in an effort to increase the available workforce of service technicians.”
Automotive service technology is part of the curriculum at ATCC.
The education and training grant program was created by Act 258 of 2015. Since the program began, it has awarded approximately $450,000 to 22 secondary and post-secondary institutions of learning.
