Arkansas Tech University’s largest career fair of the spring 2024 semester is scheduled for Wednesday, April 17.
The ATU All Majors Career Fair will take place from 1-4 p.m. April 17 in the Hull Building Student Union. All Arkansas Tech students and alumni are invited to attend.
ATU Norman Career Services reports that professional dress is “highly encouraged.” A professional dress closet for students is available at Norman Career Services in Rothwell Hall room 107.
Norman Career Services offers these additional tips in advance of the ATU All Majors Career Fair:
- Each attendee should bring several copies of their resume, if they have one. Contact Norman Career Services for resume assistance and reviews. Students may make an appointment by calling (479) 964-0824, sending e-mail to career.services@atu.edu or by visiting Rothwell Hall room 107.
- On the day of the event, bring a writing utensil make notes of conversations with employers.
- Review the list of companies attending the fair. Make a list of the top five employers to talk with about their company and available opportunities.
- Practice introductions and conversation skills before attending.
- At the end of each visit, ask for business cards to send follow-up e-mails to employers.
- Follow companies of interest on LinkedIn.
