Nicole J. Johnson, vice president for student life at Rhodes College, will offer a lecture at Arkansas Tech University on Friday, March 7, as part of the ATU Minority Mentorship Program Distinctive Voices lecture series.
Johnson, a 2011 graduate of Arkansas Tech with a Master of Science degree in college student personnel, will speak at 2 p.m. Friday in Ross Pendergraft Library and Technology Center room 300A. Admission will be free and open to the public.
The event is presented by the ATU Black Faculty and Staff Organization.
Johnson took office at Rhodes College in February 2023. She previously served at Goucher College from 2018-23. Over the span of those five years, she worked as associate dean of students for student support and success, interim associate dean of students and assistant dean of students for race, equity and identity.
She also has experience in student affairs at Elizabeth City State University, Virginia Tech and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Johnson has held leadership positions in the American College Professional Association.
