Emerging Leaders Society at Arkansas Tech University will host an “Egg My Yard” fundraising event in conjunction with the Easter season.
Individuals with an address in the Russellville city limits may place their orders by 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 9, in order to participate.
“Our goal with this is to help raise money for this somewhat new organization,” said Maddy Hughes, ATU Emerging Leaders Society founder and member. “We feel it is a fun way for us to connect with the community, get our name out and help parents balance the workload that comes with preparing for Easter.
“Members of ELS will come to the given address Saturday evening (April 19) to lay out eggs, leave baskets and notes from the Easter bunny,” continued Hughes. “On Easter morning, the family wakes up with candy-filled eggs in their yard for children to find, notes from the Easter bunny and nothing but smiles. If it rains, all customers will still receive their order, but it will be left on their porch instead of spread around the yard.”
