Artworks by nine Arkansas Tech University students will be featured during the 2023 fine arts senior exhibition at Norman Hall Art Gallery.
The exhibit is entitled “FASE.” Jessica Mongeon, ATU professor of art, explained the title has dual meaning. She said it is an acronym for fine arts senior exhibition and “it also relates to the word ‘phase’ as students transition from college to their professional lives after graduation.”
Mackenzie Avant, Audie Bridges, Madison Deen, Olivia Eubanks, Amanda Hammers, Zane Henderson, Aidan Kimberlin, Kientre’ Maxie and Elaina Minks contributed to the exhibit, which will open on Monday, March 6.
A reception is planned for 6-8 p.m. Saturday, March 11. Refreshments will be served.
The exhibit will remain on display through Friday, March 17.
“There are variety of mediums displayed in the exhibition, including three-dimensional artworks such as ceramics, textiles and metalwork as well as two-dimensional works in printmaking, acrylic and oil paint, colored pencil and digital media,” said Mongeon. “These pieces reflect the artwork created in pursuit of their degrees, in addition self-directed work.”
Norman Hall Art Gallery is located at 203 West Q Street in Russellville and is open weekdays (excluding holidays) from 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
