Arkansas Tech University campuses in Russellville and Ozark will operate virtually on Monday, Jan. 22, due to the ice storm warning for the region.
There will be no in-person classes or operations on Monday. Some essential operations, including food service, public safety and facilities management, will remain available in order to ensure the nourishment, safety and comfort of residential students on the Russellville campus.
Students are encouraged to check Blackboard and e-mail for any assignments provided by their faculty members.
“Please know that Arkansas Tech administrators are aware of the possibility for power outages associated with this storm,” said Dr. Russell Jones, ATU interim president. “I ask members of the university community to extend grace to each other as we prioritize safety during the ice storm and look forward to the warmer temperatures forecast for the days to follow.”
