ATU International Students Give Back to Community

ATU International Student Outreach Fall 2024

International students at Arkansas Tech University conducted community outreach during the fall 2024 semester that allowed students in the Russellville School District to learn about cultures and customs from around the globe.

The outreach included the ATU international students saying hello to Russellville Intermediate School students in their native languages during morning drop-off and making classroom presentations. At Crawford Elementary, ATU international students made presentations about their homelands during a family cultural night.

Countries represented during the school visits included Bangladesh, China, France, Germany, India, Japan, Nepal, Nigeria and Taiwan.

In addition to the school visits, ATU international students donated 40 volunteer hours during the fall 2024 semester to assist with a fundraising event for River Valley Food 4 Kids.
