Kathleen Martin is the new director of human resources at Arkansas Tech University.
Martin took office on Tuesday, April 1, after serving as interim director of human resources at ATU for the previous three months. Her appointment to the position on a permanent basis was made following a nationwide search.
A graduate of Furman University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, Martin later added a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Alabama in Huntsville.
Martin has held certification as a human resources professional since 2009. She began her human resources career at deciBel Research Inc. before taking on other HR-related positions at Oregon State University, Zamzows and Casper College.
Her first position at ATU was grant coordinator from November 2023-October 2024. She became ATU assistant director of human resources in November 2024 and was named interim director human resources in January 2025.
