ATU Ozark Automotive Program Achieves Re-Accreditation

Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus is proud to announce that its automotive service technology (AST) program has been granted re-accreditation by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (NATEF).

NATEF is a nonprofit organization exclusively responsible for the evaluation process of automotive training programs.

The program was analyzed in the areas of instruction, course of study, facilities and equipment, and quality of training of automobile technicians.

Program Chair Bobby Sewell said, “By continuing to achieve this accreditation, the campus and program are assuring employers that our program graduates are properly trained to meet industry standards.”

Sewell added that he was thrilled with recent achievements of his students.

“I am so proud of our program’s students and their accomplishments,” he added. “Two students earned gold medals in the 2017 Skills USA competition. This re-accreditation helps to ensure we are helping they perform at the highest level.”

Arkansas Tech-Ozark Campus offers a technical certificate in automotive service technology, as well as an Associate of Applied Science in General Technology with an option in automotive service technology, in a fully equipped shop complex.
