Arkansas Tech University–Ozark Campus received the 2023 Arkansas Single Parent Scholarship Fund (ASPSF) Outstanding School Partner Award for campuses with an enrollment of less than 2,500 during a ceremony in Little Rock on Tuesday, Oct. 10.

According to information provided by ASPSF, the award “honors the institution’s financial support and strong partnership with ASPSF in serving single parent students.”

Christi Brown, ASPSF program manager, nominated ATU-Ozark for the recognition.

“Almost every application received from an ATU-Ozark student notes that a staff member recommended them,” said Brown. “Further, staff members help students complete their applications and communicate often with ASPSF staff. ATU-Ozark has been instrumental in promoting ASPSF in western Arkansas.”

ASPSF has awarded more than $50 million in scholarships to single parents across the state since 1990. ATU-Ozark experienced a 56 percent increase in single parent scholarship applications in fall 2023 as compared to one year earlier.
