Freshmen enrollment at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus increased by 13 percent in fall 2022 as compared to fall 2021.
There are 325 first-time students enrolled at ATU-Ozark this semester. ATU-Ozark’s overall fall 2022 enrollment is 1,735 students.
“ATU-Ozark is an educational option of choice for the residents of our service area because we offer programming that is representative of the communities in our region,” said Bruce Sikes, ATU-Ozark chancellor. “ATU-Ozark faculty and staff work diligently to support our students, our industry and our community. Our campus student success strategy focuses on student access and success. That approach creates life-changing career education opportunities for those we serve.”
Thirty-five of Arkansas’ 75 counties are represented in the ATU-Ozark student body this fall. Crawford County residents make up the largest percentage of ATU-Ozark students (19 percent), followed by Johnson County (17 percent), Franklin County, Logan County, Sebastian County (15 percent each) and Pope County (9 percent).
“Our reach is beginning to touch into central Arkansas with 2 percent of our student population coming from that region,” said Richard Harris, ATU-Ozark chief student officer. “I believe the growth in our freshmen numbers can be directly attributed to the hard work of our staff and the relevant academic programs that we offer. ATU-Ozark continues to provide a learning environment that attracts students from all over the region.”
