Seven Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus Practical Nursing students earned awards this month at the Arkansas Licensed Practical Nurses Association (ALPNA) 21st Annual Practical Nurse Skill Competition and Spring Conference held at the University of Arkansas Community College in Hope.
Devin Hild of Lavaca earned first place in nutrition; Meagan Gooch of Fort Smith and Jennifer Dorey of Fort Smith placed second in CPR; Kristen Bittle of Van Buren placed third in anatomy and physiology; Sarah Fantuazzi of Fort Smith, Taylor Owen of Ozark, Krista Fenstemacher of Alma and Carol Fusher of Van Buren all placed first in the quiz bowl competition.
The Practical Nursing Department of Arkansas Tech-Ozark accepts beginning students in August and January of each year. The program consists of three semesters. Those interested should submit an ATU Ozark application for admission at www.atu.edu/ozark/admission/.
