Madeline Spanel was crowned 2019 Arkansas Tech University Homecoming queen during a pre-game ceremony at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field in Russellville on Saturday, Oct. 5.
A 21-year old senior from Heber Springs, Spanel is a biology pre-medicine major at ATU. She is president of Tri Beta biology club, secretary for the Pre-Med Club and a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, Presidential Leadership Cabinet and Student Government Association.
Daughter of Christa Chambers, Spanel was nominated by the Pre-Med Club. She has aspirations to attend medical school following her graduation from Arkansas Tech.
Other members of the 2019 ATU Homecoming court included Bailey Greenwood of Des Arc, Shelby Hartzell of Dover, Megan Garrett of Benton and Samantha Burkeen of Valley Springs, all of whom are also seniors.
