Arkansas Tech University’s Noah Davis is moving on to Hollywood week on American Idol.
Davis made his American Idol debut during the first episode of season 16 on Sunday, March 11. He performed “Stay” as his audition and received unanimous approval from judges Lionel Richie, Katy Perry and Luke Bryan to advance to the next stage of competition.

A graduate of Lake Hamilton High School and resident of Royal, Davis began his studies at Arkansas Tech as a freshman nursing major during the fall 2017 semester. He is taking a break from school during the spring 2018 semester to pursue his dream of a career in music.
“Tech is an amazing campus,” said Davis last fall. “It’s not so huge that you pass people you don’t know all the time, but it’s not so small that you feel like nothing is happening. You meet so many people. The academics are amazing. My teachers are wonderful. They really strive to help you be successful, and I really like that about our teachers. There are opportunities in arts, academics, campus ministries, everything…if you want to be involved, (Tech) has somewhere for you to get involved.”
American Idol airs on ABC.
