Tech Camp Out drew more than 200 Arkansas Tech University students to the Hull Building Student Union on Thursday, Oct. 24.

One of the most popular activities was a networking challenge that encouraged students to meet new people. More than 40 individuals completed the challenge.

There was also a pumpkin decorating station that resulted in the delivery of 11 pumpkins to Stella Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center and a puppy petting station that yielded monetary donations as well as food, treats, toys and blankets to support animals served by NovaStar Rescue.

Organized by the ATU College of Business and Economic Development, Tech Camp Out drew volunteer support from registered student organizations such as Accounting Club, Student Health Information Management Association, Sigma Alpha, Alpha Gamma Rho, Student Government Association and the Emerging Leaders Society.

Jerry the Bulldog, ATU campus ambassador, was on hand to take photographs with students.

Additional activities included bingo, board games, card games and outdoor sports. Refreshments were served and door prizes were awarded.

ATU student Allison Nobel of Fort Smith won the grand prize, which consisted of an RTIC cooler, a sleeping bag and a camping chair.

Support for Tech Camp Out was provided by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and Farm Credit.
