
Students from the Arkansas Tech University College of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics were among approximately 90 university students from around the state who participated in Arkansas STEM Posters at the Capitol 2025 on Thursday, Jan. 30.
The annual event brings students together to share their scientific findings with their peers at other universities, legislators and state officials. Thirteen institutions of higher learning were represented this year and the results of 62 projects were presented.
Below are the project titles, student participants and faculty mentors from the ATU delegation at Arkansas STEM Posters at the Capitol 2025 in Little Rock:
“AI-Driven Approaches in Aquaculture: A Review of Fish Disease Detection Techniques,” presented by Hayin Tamut. Faculty mentor: Dr. Md Abdus S Siddique.
“Spiking Neural Networks in Medical Imaging: Revolutionizing Cancer Detection,” presented by Shruti Bhandari. Faculty mentor: Dr. Tolga Ensari.
“Fatigue Behavior of 3D-Printed Nylon and ASA for Aerospace Applications,” presented by Brayden May and Collin Kita. Faculty mentor: Dr. Mohammad Amjadi.
“Deep Learning-Based Multi-Class Classification of Breast Cancer Ultrasound Images Using Convolutional Neural Networks,” presented by Andres Dewendt Urdaneta. Faculty mentor: Dr. Robin Ghosh.
“Detection Strategies for Prompt Injection Attack in Large Language Models (LLM),” presented by Angelina Das. Faculty mentor: Dr. Robin Ghosh.
