Arkansas Tech University will host a youth cheerleading clinic from 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Hull Physical Education Building.
Participation is open to students in grades kindergarten through seventh grade.
“Students will be taught a dance, a cheer, chants, motion technique, jumps and stunts,” said Krystal Shipp, ATU cheer coach.
Participants are asked to wear tennis shoes and appropriate workout clothing. Each participant should bring a personal water bottle and leave rings, jewelry and valuables at home.
Cost is $40, which includes a T-shirt and admission to the ATU football game at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26, for each clinic participant and one adult. Clinic participants will perform at halftime of the Oct. 26 football game.
