Baker, England Lead ATU Fishing in AFTCO Open

Matt Baker and Kory England were among the Arkansas Tech University anglers who competed in the 2020 AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open.

Three Arkansas Tech University teams finished in the top 20 during the 2020 AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open Oct. 10-11 on Lake Dardanelle.

Matt Baker and Kory England led the ATU contingent by finishing second with a two-day haul of 24.88 pounds.

The ATU teams of Cole Lamb and Tristan Weaver (7th, 19.77 pounds) and Brandon Mann and Hunter Bryant (18th, 16.15 pounds) also finished near the top of a field that included 148 registered teams.

Drury University’s Cole Breeden and Cameron Smith captured the title by weighing in 26.52 pounds of bass over two days.

The tournament was part of the 2020-21 Bass Pro Shops Collegiate Bass Fishing Series. It was hosted by the Russellville Tourism and Visitors Center for a fifth consecutive year.
