A combination of excellence and generosity displayed by the employees at Baldor Electric Company Ozark has yielded $10,000 in scholarship funds for qualified Ozark High School graduates interested in continuing their studies at Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus.
Baldor Electric Company Ozark earned the funds when it was named Baldor District Managers Association plant of the year. Through conversations between management and employees, it was determined that the funds would be divided into five $2,000 scholarships that will be distributed through the Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus Scholarship Foundation to Ozark High School graduates who meet the following criteria:
- Ozark High School senior in good academic standing
- Exceptional attendance history
- Career orientation toward automation systems or logistics management
“Arkansas Tech University–Ozark Campus congratulates the employees and management of Baldor Electric Company Ozark for their excellence and recognizes their commitment to their local community,” said Bruce Sikes, Arkansas Tech-Ozark Campus chancellor. “Arkansas Tech-Ozark Campus values Baldor’s investment in education and supports their need for a skilled workforce.”
