The three-man team of Mason Ballard, Matt Leavell and Bradley Stewart fired a 12-under par round of 59 to win the championship flight in the 2021 Arkansas Tech University Homecoming Golf Classic on Friday, Oct. 22, at Russellville Country Club.
Ballard, Leavell and Stewart won the title on a tiebreaker after a three-way tie atop the standings. Will Cooper, Don Daily and Scott Daily as well as Lucas Duvall, Eric French and Emmalee French also shot 12-under 59.
Additional flight winners were Jon Clements, Mark Gotcher and Bob Honeycutt (first flight, 7-under 64), Scott Babb, Ian Bryan and Jake Sibley (second flight, 2-under 69) and Wyn Norwood, David Rollans and Robert Taylor (senior flight, 12-under 59).
A total of 34 teams competed in the tournament, which helps fund initiatives such as the ATU Alumni Association Scholarship.
