Cindy Wolfe, chief operating officer at Bank OZK in Little Rock, will be the next guest speaker in the Leaders in the Industry series hosted by Arkansas Tech University-Ozark Campus.
Wolfe will speak at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 3, in the ATU-Ozark Student Services Conference Center, 1700 Helberg Lane in Ozark. Her talk will focus on business and banking.
Admission will be free and open to the public.
Wolfe was raised in the Carolinas by her father, who was a grocery store manager, and her mother, who was a homemaker. She earned an academic scholarship to Queens University (N.C.) and became the first in her family to obtain a college degree.
She majored in business administration while also working various jobs at IBM, a brokerage firm and a utility company.
Wolfe joined Bank OZK in 1997, opened the bank’s Charlotte loan production office in 2001 and served as senior vice president for lending from 2001-05. Her career path included service as executive vice president for lending (2005-12), Charlotte market president (2012-14), Carolinas division president (2014-18) and deputy director of community banking (2015-18).
She was promoted to Bank OZK chief banking officer in 2018 and served in that capacity until she was promoted to chief operating officer in June 2022.
Prior to joining Bank OZK, Wolfe held various positions with national banks in commercial lending, operations, project management and internal audit.
