Arkansas Tech completed an undefeated run through its own classic and ran its winning streak to 13 consecutive matches by defeating East Central University 25-13, 25-21, 25-16 in non-conference volleyball action at Tucker Coliseum in Russellville on Saturday.
Sarah Von Lienen made 11 kills and four blocks, Kelly O’Malley recorded 10 kills and Ashlynn Hamrick had eight kills and three blocks for the Golden Suns (18-3), who swept all three of their matches during the Arkansas Tech Hampton Inn Invitational on Friday and Saturday.
Kera Dukic added 40 assists and nine digs, Brennae Benda registered 14 digs and Marcela Mascarenhas chipped in 10 digs in the win over ECU.
Yakira Essix made six kills to lead East Central (3-16).
Arkansas Tech will try to match the longest winning streak of head coach Kristy Bayer’s seven-year tenure when it hosts Christian Brothers at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
