Bisons Top Wonder Boys in 11 Innings

Harrison Hunter’s double in the bottom of the 11th inning gave Harding University a 1-0 victory over Arkansas Tech University at Jerry Moore Field in Searcy on Monday in the regular season finale for both teams.

Jaxon Mohr led off the bottom of the 11th with a single. He moved to second base on Alan Copeland’s sacrifice bunt.

Arkansas Tech relief pitcher John Beck issued an intentional walk to Zac Stewart and was succeeded on the mound by Jason Hastings.

With runners at first and second and one out, Hunter sent the 349th pitch of the game and the fourth pitch he saw from Hastings down the right field line. Mohr raced home with the only run of the day.

Harding reliever Reed Roberts (4-1) was credited as the winning pitcher. He worked a scoreless top of the 11th inning.
