Brass in the Clouds Scheduled for September 18

Performers from the Arkansas Tech University Department of Music will provide an evening of entertainment at one of the Arkansas River Valley’s most beautiful points of interest on Saturday, Sept. 18.

The 2021 Brass in the Clouds concert, co-sponsored by Mount Nebo State Park and the Arkansas Tech Department of Music, will begin at 6:45 p.m. at Mount Nebo’s Sunset Point. The public is invited to attend.

The ATU Trombone Choir, the ATU Tuba/Euphonium Ensemble, the ATU Trumpet Ensemble and the ATU French Horn Ensemble will perform under the direction of ATU Department of Music faculty members Dr. Sean Reed and Dr. T.J. Perry as well as Dr. Gretchen Renshaw-James and Evan Mino, visiting lecturers of music.

The program will include pieces by Erik Morales, Eric Ewazen, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gary Schlecta, John Stevens and John Williams.

Mount Nebo State Park recommends that audience members bring blankets or chairs for seating comfort.
