Arkansas Tech University’s Alex Brown was named Great American Conference men’s basketball player of the week on Feb. 12.
A junior guard from Vernon, Fla., Brown averaged 28 points and seven rebounds per game in two games last week. He was 20-of-36 from the field, including 15-of-25 from 3-point range.
Brown scored a career-high 41 points during the Wonder Boys’ win over Oklahoma Baptist University on Saturday. He made a school-record 12 3-pointers while becoming the eighth Arkansas Tech men’s basketball player to accumulate two or more career 40-point games.
