University Honors at Arkansas Tech University invites ATU undergraduate students to submit entries for the third annual ATU Little Film Festival.
Films submitted for judging must be between three and five minutes in length, created by ATU undergraduate students, uploaded to YouTube and suitable for a general audience. Each entry must be submitted in one of three categories: documentary, fiction or experimental/animation. Videos may be created using any smart phone. All entries must abide by all university policies.
All artifacts (images, videos, music, sound effects, etc.) used in the video which were not created by the ATU undergraduate student or students working on the project must be cited at the end of the film. Credits should acknowledge all people who contributed to the video.
Judging criteria includes originality of plot or subject, technical complexity in terms of editing and cinematography, use of audio enhancements and performances by actors.
If submitting as a team, names and contact information for all team members as well as their specific contributions to the film’s planning and production must be included. Teams should be limited to four people. An unlimited number of people may be credited.
Deadline to submit films for consideration is Thursday, April 2. Entries, including the name of each member of the production team (up to four individuals), the category of the film and contact information, should be e-mailed to Dr. Jamie Stacy at jstacy4@atu.edu. Interested students may also contact Stacy for more information.
Films selected for inclusion in the 2020 ATU Little Film Festival will be screened in Rothwell Hall room 138 at 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 9.
Prizes will be awarded to winning entries.
