Community Coffee

 

There were approximately 50 in attendance at Arkansas Tech University – Ozark Campus’ Community Coffee held Wednesday, September 22 in the Student Services and Conference Center.

The Ozark campus is dedicated to meeting the demands of our service area and providing career opportunities. Hosting a quarterly Community Coffee, enables the campus collaborate with our community partners. Dr. Jo Alice Blondin, Chancellor observed, “The strategic planning process, through which the Ozark Campus prepares and planning for the future, is essential to the continued development and success of our programs. The model our campus follows involves all stakeholders, students, staff, faculty and advisory board members, in order to ensure a commitment to realize our goals. The collaboration demonstrates the way we do business at Arkansas Tech – Ozark.”

Blondin gave a brief overview of the Fall 2010 Demographics stating that with an enrollment of over 1,600 students, there are 63 percent seeking an Associate of Applied Science Degree and 37 percent are seeking a Technical Certificate. She also provided the enrollment by County as follows:

Franklin – 23%

Logan – 16%

Johnson – 16%

Crawford – 13%

Sebastian – 9%

Pope – 11%

Conway – 5%

Yell – 4%

Other – 3%

Blondin thanked the student body for choosing the Ozark campus, and the community for their support.

Officials from the Ozark Campus have made the Community Coffee a quarterly event that will allow time for the public to fellowship with the faculty, staff and students.
