Deadline for Miss Tech Candidates to Register Jan. 31

Arkansas Tech University students who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to register for the 69th Miss Arkansas Tech University scholarship pageant, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, at Witherspoon Auditorium.

The deadline to apply as a contestant for Miss Tech 2025 is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31.

Eligible ATU students with an interest in applying to become a contestant in the 2025 Miss Tech pageant may apply by following these steps:

  • Go to missamerica.org
  • On the tabs section at the top of the page, select “The Competition”
  • Select “Check Eligibility” from “The Competition” drop down
  • Scroll down and select “START HERE: Register”
  • Select “Arkansas”
  • Begin filling out the registration form
  • Select “Complete Registration” once on next page and pay $39.99
  • Now you’re registered for the Miss America Organization
  • Go to missarkansas.org
  • Select “Portal” from the tabs section at the top of the page
  • Select “Local Contestant Portal” from the Portal drop down
  • Begin filling out your candidate information and update your record

The Miss Arkansas Tech University pageant is an official preliminary to the Miss America pageant, and the winner will be a contestant in the 2025 Miss Arkansas pageant.

Contestants in the Miss Arkansas Tech University pageant must be full-time, female ATU students and U.S. citizens. Contestants must be 18 by state competition and no older than 27 at state competition.

Competition categories for 2025 will be personal interview, health and fitness, on-stage conversation, evening gown and talent. All contestants are required to order fitness wear from Rebel Athletic in advance of the pageant.

The new Miss Tech will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship at Arkansas Tech. In all, more than $21,000 in gifts and scholarships were awarded during the 2024 Miss Tech pageant.

Kate Manuel of Green Forest was crowned Miss Tech 2024. Manuel and Miss Arkansas 2024 Camille Cathey of Wynne are scheduled to provide special entertainment at the 2025 Miss Arkansas Tech University pageant.

The Miss Tech pageant is sponsored by Delta Zeta sorority.
