Details About Tailgating and Tickets Announced

The Arkansas Tech University Department of Athletics has announced tailgating and game ticket procedures for the 2021 ATU football season.

The Wonder Boys will begin the 106th season of Arkansas Tech football by hosting Southeastern Oklahoma State University for a 6 p.m. Great American Conference contest at Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field on Thursday, Sept. 2.

Each Party at the Plaza tailgating event will begin three hours prior to kickoff for Arkansas Tech’s six 2021 home football games. Crabaugh Hall lawn will be the location for tailgating this season.

Tailgating tents are available for rental for $20 per game or $100 for the full season (six home games). Each tent rental comes with a table and two chairs.

Individuals or organizations that wish to bring their own tent for tailgating are welcome to do so, but they are required to reserve a space.

Once tailgaters arrive on the Crabaugh Hall lawn, they will locate their name to identify their tent or space.

As kickoff approaches and the time to move inside Thone Stadium at Buerkle Field draws near, fans will take advantage of a new and efficient way to obtain their game tickets, faculty and staff passes and student passes.

The ATU Department of Athletics has partnered with HomeTown Ticketing as the official ticket partner for the Wonder Boys and Golden Suns beginning with the 2021-22 athletic year.

The partnership transitions ATU’s athletic ticket operations to a digital ticket platform that will provide fans with the ability to purchase tickets in advance and on game days in a secure and contactless way.

As part of this partnership, tickets for all home football and basketball games (men’s and women’s) will now be sold exclusively online at www.arkansastechsports.com/tickets and/or through a mobile device by using the “HomeTown Fan” app, which is available for free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

Admission to all regular season home ATU athletics events remains free for faculty, staff and students. As has been the case in the past, ATU faculty and staff will be able to gain free admission for their immediate family and one guest for all regular season Arkansas Tech athletics events.

Steps to get a Faculty/Staff/Retiree Season Pass

1. Download the Hometown Ticketing Fan App (white H, gray background)
   a. Available in the App Store and Google Play
2. Enter your cell phone number for verification
3. Enable location service
4. Search for Arkansas Tech University
5. Click on the heart to make ATU your favorite
6. Click on ATU Faculty, Staff and Retiree Season Pass
7. Read the information and scroll to the bottom
8. Click on “Have a Passcode”
9. Enter your T-Number (make sure to include the T) and click apply
10. Read the information and scroll to the bottom
11. Hit the plus (+) sign to add one pass and click checkout
12. Enter contact information, click the box to acknowledge terms of service and privacy policy, click submit order
13. You now have your season pass for the entire year
14. Store your pass on the app or add them to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay

Steps to get a Student Season Pass

6. Click on the game you want to attend
7. Read the information and scroll to the bottom
8. Enter the number of tickets and ticket level you want
9. Enter credit card and contact information
10. Hit submit
11. You now have your ticket(s) to the game
12. Store ticket(s) on the app or add them to your Apple Wallet or Google Pay
