Arkansas Tech University President Dr. Russell Jones has selected Paul S. Edwards to serve as ATU’s next vice president for administration and finance.
Edwards will take office at Arkansas Tech on Oct. 1.
A veteran of the U.S. Navy, Edwards has worked in higher education since 2007. He began his career as manager of accounting at Liberty University (2007-14) before becoming assistant vice president for business affairs at Kentucky State University (2014-16), assistant dean for finance and administration at the University of Tennessee College of Health Professions in Memphis (2016-18), chief business officer for the Richard Bland College of the College of William and Mary (2018-23) and vice president for finance and administration at Western Illinois University (2023-present).
Edwards holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a Master of Accounting degree from the University of South Florida. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Liberty University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Virginia Tech. He is currently pursuing the Doctor of Education degree in higher education administration at William and Mary College.
Since 2007, Edwards has maintained an adjunct professor of accounting and business teaching position through Liberty University.
