Arkansas Tech University students who meet the eligibility requirements are invited to register for the 67th Miss Arkansas Tech University competition, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, at Witherspoon Auditorium.
The deadline to apply as a candidate for Miss Tech 2023 is 5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3.
Eligible ATU students with an interest in applying to become a candidate in the 2023 Miss Tech competition should follow this procedure:
*Visit www.missamerica.org and scroll down to “Become a Candidate”
*Register and pay $35 (unless the candidate has already entered a Miss America preliminary during the current cycle)
*Visit www.missarkansas.org and scroll down to “Become a Candidate”
*Register and pay $75
*Follow directions, including the submission of a completed contract, photo, social initiative statement and resume

The Miss Arkansas Tech University competition is an official preliminary to the Miss America competition, and the winner will be a candidate in the 2023 Miss Arkansas competition.
Candidates for Miss Arkansas Tech University must be full-time female Tech students and U.S. citizens. Candidates must be at least 19 years of age by Dec. 31 of the year of the state competition and must not be older than 26 years of age on Dec. 31 of the year of the state competition.
The new Miss Tech will receive a two-semester tuition scholarship at Arkansas Tech. In all, more than $24,000 in gifts and scholarships were awarded during the 2022 Miss Tech competition.
Alli Beth King of Rison was crowned Miss Tech 2022. King and Miss Arkansas 2022 Ebony Mitchell of Harrison are scheduled to provide special entertainment at the 2023 Miss Arkansas Tech University competition.
