Two Arkansas Tech University volleyball student-athletes were recognized by the Great American Conference with weekly awards on Monday, Sept. 11.
Junior Hunter Eshnaur of Russellville was named GAC offensive player of the week, while sophomore Amanda Milnick of Tahlequah, Okla., was selected as GAC setter of the week.
Eshnaur (photographed, left) averaged 3.92 kills per set had a .476 hitting percentage while helping the Golden Suns go 5-0 for the week.
Milnick (photographed, right) distributed 10.75 assists per set for the week and collected her second consecutive GAC setter of the week honor.
ATU (10-0) will host the Holiday Inn Express Golden Suns Spikefest at Tucker Coliseum this weekend. Tech will face Central Missouri at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 14, St. Edward’s University at 11 a.m. and Christian Brothers University at 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 15, and the University of Alabama-Huntsville at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 16.
All matches during the classic will be played at Tucker Coliseum. Admission will be free.
